Describe your project :
SensEar is a revolutionary solution addressing the communication challenges of 466 million deaf individuals globally, including over 9 million in Egypt. Traditional methods often isolate the deaf, hindering their participation in various aspects of life. SensEar utilizes augmented reality (AR) to provide bidirectional communication: translating spoken language into sign language displayed on lenses and vice versa. It also translates written text into sign language and aids in reading and writing. Developed over nine years with AI and a vast word database, SensEar underwent rigorous testing with deaf early adopters. It has been iterated upon over 12 prototypes and currently boasts a database of over 500,000 words for both Modern Standard Arabic and Egyptian colloquial dialects. With its potential for global expansion, it aims to offer scalable solutions adaptable to diverse languages, driving inclusivity and improving the quality of life for the deaf community.
