Describe your project :
The Local Language Learning Project aims to get more Cameroonians to embrace reading and writing in their local languages. As the Cameroon government advocates for multilingual education in schools, we believe technology plays a vital role in facilitating multilingual education and the preservation of our local languages. Teachers of LCN (Langues et Cultures Nationale) teach students who come from various cultural backgrounds. They can use our translation platform to verify the answers of their students when correcting assignments and class exercises. This project equally aims to facilitate the work of translators who constantly work to produce documents in a language for a particular community. This includes Bible scholars who constantly need to translate the Bible for various Christian communities. We also believe this project will make it possible for knowledge to be accessible in a variety of languages. Our grandparents who never studied English and French can easily obtain information in a language they understand by quickly translating information on the platform.
