Describe your project :
HOSPITAB is a portable multipurpose hardware-software healthcare solution comprising of a smart tablet aimed at addressing the frequent blood shortages in blood banks, the difficulty of getting blood donors, and the difficulty of accessing healthcare services by people of the rural areas and conflict/disaster affected areas, especially antenatal care (ANC) services for pregnant women. In effect of addressing these challenges, HOSPITAB aims at revolutionizing the healthcare service and provide a digital system that will ensure the smooth management of medical records. To make this solution possible, the system comprises of a smart tablet for data entry, processing, and storage, with inbuilt functionalities to facilitate ANC services at any level, basic consultation, as well as the processing of blood information for the establishment of an ever ready database of nationwide blood donors., The system also comprises of a digital card that will replace the traditional hospital book and will enhance easy and remote access of a patient's medical records. The system also provides a mobile box that embeds an equipment sterilization unit, a backup solar power supply, as well as storage compartment, to ease medical outreach, and mobile healthcare servicing, such that medical institutions, NGOs, or humanitarian supports can easily extend their services/aids to remote, conflict/disaster affected areas through medical agents.
