Describe your project :
Cropital is a project by Entreprise Naxxan, a start-up for young people who aspire to achieve high growth in the agribusiness sector, registered in the DRC (CD/BKV/RCCM/21-A-00283). It is a mobile AgTech off/online application project for diagnosing plant diseases and pests and identifying and tracking nature-based solutions for their sustainable management and also proposes the e-trade of these products. It offers phytosanitary products (Salama biosolution), organic fertilizers (Bio Cala) and sells protective inputs (sprayers, pig noses, overalls, etc.), and offers consultation, advisory services and technical support to farmers in sustainable crop production. It was born out of concern about youth unemployment and drastic loss of crop yields, contributing to farmers' impoverishment and discouragement. In the ideation phase, the project requires support for its prototyping and materialization to help farmers relieve out of poverty and food insecurity, due to crop losses to pests, and help fill the digital gap in rural agriculture. Implemented by a multi-disciplinary team of young people, the project is susceptible to impact the lives of rural women, 70% of whom are active in agriculture as an economic activity and main means of livelihood, making agriculture highly attractive to youth and women.
